Mental health awareness month isn't just about green ribbons and feel-good graphics. It's about real people, real struggles, and real support.

We believe in showing up with honesty, care, and no pressure. Whether you're currently in therapy, considering it, or just trying to get through the week, this conversation is for you.

Mental health isn't a destination. It's something you tend to regularly, especially when life gets loud.

We're here when you're ready.

Happy World Laughter Day ๐Ÿ’š

"Your body cannot heal without play. Your mind cannot heal without laughter. Your soul cannot heal without joy."
โ€” Catherine Ripperger Fenwick

Healing isn't always heavy. Sometimes it sounds like an unexpected laugh with a friend, a moment that catches you off guard and reminds you that lightness still lives inside you...even in the hard seasons.

Laughter doesn't fix everything. But it can be part of how we come back to ourselves.

Today, tag someone who has made you laugh when you needed it most. ๐Ÿ‘‡

It's Therapy Thursday, where our therapists answer the questions you're actually Googling! ๐Ÿ“ฒ

โ“Today's question: What if I cry in therapy? โ“

One of our therapists, Jenna Pepple, LMSW, breaks it down:

"Crying in therapy is common... and it doesn't mean you're 'too emotional' or doing it wrong. It usually means you've hit something real. For many people, therapy is the first place they slow down enough to actually feel instead of holding it together for everyone else.

We're not uncomfortable with tears. We don't see crying as something to stop or fix. We see it as information. Your body and emotions are finally getting space to show up. Sometimes it's sadness, sometimes relief, sometimes frustration, sometimes from finally being understood. All of it is valid.

You don't need to apologize, explain it away, or 'pull yourself together.' A good therapist meets you right where you are and helps you feel safe while it's happening. And if you don't cry? That's okay too. There's no right way to do therapy. If tears show up, you're being humanโ€”and you're probably doing meaningful work."

During Spring, we are minded that renewal, rebirth, and rising again isn't limited to a single moment. It happens every time you get back up after a setback, every time you choose healing after hurt, every time you try again after failing. You are capable of rebuilding in your own life, again and again.

What part of yourself are you rebuilding today?

At Green Valley Therapy, we witness and support your courage to rise, heal, and begin again, no matter how many times it takes.

We're closing out the first quarter of 2026. Whether you achieved everything you hoped for or you're still working through challenges, take a moment to acknowledge that you're here. You showed up. You kept going. That matters more than any metric of "success."

What's one way you've grown in the first three months of this year?

At Green Valley Therapy, we celebrate every step of your journey, the big wins and the small victories that only you can see. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your wellness journey.

We're so used to pushing through, meeting expectations, and ignoring our own signals. But tuning into what you actually need, not what you think you should need, is where real self-care begins.

Rest? Connection? Boundaries? Solitude? Movement? Your needs are valid and worth honoring.

What do you actually need right now?

Our compassionate team at Green Valley Therapy can help you identify and honor your needs as part of comprehensive mental wellness.

It's Therapy Thursday, where our therapists answer the questions you're actually Googling!

Today's question: How much does therapy cost?

Sarah Giacalone has the answer:
"Without insurance, it generally ranges between $150-250, depending on the therapist's license, certifications, specialties, etc. Often, therapists with more specific training and focus charge a higher fee because of the time and investment they've put into developing their effectiveness in treating particular challenges.

If you are working with a therapist who is in-network with your insurance, your insurance carrier will be the one to decide how much the therapist's fees are (referred to as the allowed amount) and how much they will pay vs. what the "patient's responsibility" is. That patient responsibility portion is usually a deductible or copay that insurance requires the therapist to collect from the patient directly. "
