Sometimes, pain can lead to purpose…

Yesterday I had minor surgery to remove an annoying cyst from my upper chest. And I have had a lot of surgery (not as much as some, but more than enough for one lifetime at least IMO)…☹️

It surprised me that a bigger chunk of tissue was removed than what I was expecting. 😳Always nice when it’s smaller or less of an area affected if given the choice. I like that option better…

So that was a little shocking, and I was wobbly afterwards, even with just the local anesthetic.

And I know in the scheme of things I will be fine, and that this is a benign situation.

Having survived cancer, a near-fatal car accident with multiple surgeries putting metal in and removing metal from my body, having organs repaired, also having organs or other tissue removed at various points in my life, I am no stranger to the surgeon’s blade.

I’m also extremely grateful for modern Western medicine and the life-saving miracle of surgery and talented surgeons. I would be dead without them, that is no question.🥺❤️‍🩹

Yet, still, this incision is a trauma. It’s the body being invaded and cut into. And I felt it, and of course still feel it as it was just yesterday.

In cleaning the wound this morning, I noticed it was very close to the scar from my very first surgery I had at the age of 4, having a cyst removed from my throat.

That little girl was so brave, and I’m sorry it took me this long to finally thank her. (See the last slide)…And little did she know the pain of what was to come. Major physical and mental health challenges, many surgeries, a near-death experience…all very difficult, but that would ultimately lead to her purpose.

To heal herself, through many years of study and practice in the realms or energy healing, bodywork, shamanic and other holistic practices, and then to have the profound honor of helping others do the same.  And as much as I can hate some parts of this journey at times, yes, it has all been worth it.  Sometimes we can learn through pain…

Been trying to limit doom scrolling by being creative. As a lifelong artist, I really enjoy the freedom of Mindful art. Of course also had to embrace a new marker addiction in the process. 😜🌈Mindfulness is part of cross-cultural healing and spiritual practices whether it’s breathing, taking time in nature or creating art. It’s one of our students’ favorite activities 😍🎨💜

Munay means “I love you” or “Be as thou art.” These nine rites are spiritual transmissions that help you on your journey of releasing old patterns, protecting your personal energy during these challenging times of chaos and change, and empower you to walk your path with integrity, balance, and connection to the natural and spirit worlds.

Over three evenings, you will:
Receive all Nine Munay Ki Rites in sacred ceremony
Learn to anchor and grow these rites in your life
Experience energetic clearing, heart expansion, and soul-level activation
Connect deeply with lineage energies, guardian spirits, and the wisdom of Pachamama
