We love self care, and yes there’s a shop featuring BIPOC women creators, but we love that kinda self care you can’t buy… the rituals you create for yourself, and sometimes share in community, that bring joy and respite from a chaotic world.

To all the mommas, aunties, grandmamas, and women who raise the babies + hold everything together…. may this weekend bring more than recognition of all your hard work. I hope it brings some time for yourself, to hope and dream and love on you. As we grow from our mother’s gardens during these tumultuous times, I hope this day reminds us to hold on to each other and love on each other. This Mother’s Day let’s hold space for all the feelings, and even the sometimes complicated relationships we may have with the idea of motherhood. Mommas don’t do the work for a weekend, it’s a lifetime of sacrifices. I hope this day brings reflection around a sustained commitment to support those who are doing the important work of rearing families and mothering individuals and communities.
