This is a great example of the importance of using a CBCT! This patient arrived with aching pain from a previously treated premolar. Looking at the PA it looks like there may only be 2 canals, but with the CBCT we can see a 3rd canal that was missed. Fortunately, we were able to treat all canals and get the patient on the road to recovery!

After having some discomfort from his tooth, which was only soothed by cold water, this patient finally visited his general dentist who confirmed that he needed a root canal. We were able to complete this case in one visit and even filled in some extra canals at the apical 3rd.

Happy Thursday everyone! This pt was referred for emergency consult and treat. This poor patient couldn't bite down or even touch her tooth without being in immense pain. We were able to get her nice and numb to comfortably complete the root canal. We also reduced the occlusion afterwards so she could chew comfortably on the other side until this tooth is restored with a build-up and crown. So happy that we were able to provide relief so that she could have a "Happy Thursday" too!

Holy Moly.. A Radix! Patient was symptomatic with hot/cold, lingering sensitivity Dx: SIP/NAT. D root looked a little.... different. After a CBCT, an extra root was discovered . Treatment was carefully completed on all canals and pt was happy to be out of pain!

Referred from their general dentist for the lesion on number 31, this patient surprisingly had no pain! Since the crown appeared to be well sealed, it was decided to complete the ReTx through the crown. At the 3 month follow-up, the patient returned with healing around the apices!

This patient presented with the chief complaint of tenderness upon chewing with number 3. The tooth was previously treated, but now has periapical lesions. After examining the PA radiograph, an untreated MB2 was suspected. During treatment, the post in the P root was removed, all canals (including MB2) were found and treated. The happy patient was then referred back to their GP for placement of the crown.

11 year old presented with swelling and aching on lower right side. Poor buddy :( PA and Pano showed a large PA lesion on number 29. The tooth was given the pulpal diagnosis of necrotic pulp caused by a fractured dens evaginatus. Since the apex of the tooth was wide open, the family decided to continue with regeneration procedures. The canal was cleaned out thoroughly and sealed in hopes of further development of the canal. After treatment, little buddy was very satisfied to be out of pain. Fast forward to 1.75 years later and we have a developed canal! Everyone was very satisfied with the results of this case!

Patient presented with aching pain after crown delivery. After the crown had been adjusted several times, the GP decided to refer. Pulpal testing revealed necrotic pulp and lesions were noticed on all roots. After carefully working up the calcified canals with , RCT was completed and patient was happy to be out of pain (And so was I)!
