One of the most important parts of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) happens after the session.
While the experience itself can be powerful, much of the lasting change comes through the integration process that follows.
Research suggests there is a period of increased neuroplasticity after ketamine treatment, creating an opportunity to better understand what surfaced during a session and begin applying those insights to everyday life. During this 48 hour period, clients work closely with their therapist to explore new perspectives, challenge old patterns, and build healthier habits and beliefs.
An important reminder: healing doesn’t always look the same for everyone. Some people have profound experiences during sessions, while others notice more subtle shifts. Even when the experience itself feels minimal, meaningful changes can still be happening beneath the surface.
At Wellness Embodied, integration is a core part of the process because lasting transformation isn’t just about what happens during a session but about how those insights are carried forward into daily life.
