What is a beneficiary?
A beneficiary is the person, people, trust, estate, or organization designated to receive a policy's death benefit. A policy may name more than one beneficiary and assign percentages to each.
Beneficiary choices deserve careful attention, especially after marriage, divorce, a birth, a death, or another major life change.
Review your policy and contact the insurer or a qualified professional before making changes.
