🚨 June is National Safety Month, and this week we are shining a spotlight on the incredible first responders who keep our community safe every single day.
Safety looks a little different for everyone, but for our local police, EMTs, and firefighters, it’s all about readiness and split-second decisions.
-
Here is what they are focusing on this month to stay safe on the job—and how we can help them:
🚔 FOR OUR POLICE & EMTs: Roadway safety is a massive priority. Did you know that one of the biggest risks they face is a "secondary crash"? These happen when drivers aren't paying attention and strike emergency vehicles already parked at the scene of a highway incident.
👉 HOW WE CAN HELP: When you see flashing lights, Slow Down and Move Over. Give them the space they need to save lives safely.
👨🚒 FOR OUR FIREFIGHTERS: This month is all about rigorous equipment checks and structural safety training—ensuring every tool, truck, and protocol is flawless before they rush into a burning building.
👉 HOW WE CAN HELP: Make sure your house numbers are clearly visible from the street so they can find you instantly in an emergency.
At Small Town Home Health Solutions, we are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our local emergency crews. Let’s look out for them the way they look out for us! ❤️
Stay safe out there, neighbors!
