If healthy habits worked, my client Nicole would have been thriving

She was already doing everything right:

✔️ Eating well
✔️ Sleeping 9 hours
✔️ Exercising daily
✔️ Getting annual bloodwork

But she had crippling fatigue, needing a nap every day

She had intense joint pain despite moving her body daily

She had unexplained weight gain despite not changing anything about her diet or exercise

She would get random IBS-D flares

When she came to me, I knew exactly what to do:

✅ A GI-MAP test to uncover any deeper imbalances in her gut

✅ A thorough blood panel to look for inflammation, wonky metabolism, and autoimmune markers

✅ A DUTCH test to check for cortisol imbalances and to see if she was truly in perimenopause

Your gut and hormones don’t need another fancy protocol. They need this ⬇️

They need your foundations dialed in first

I know it’s tempting to jump straight to the “next big thing”
✨ red light therapy
✨ vibration plates
✨ detoxes + supplement stacks
✨ peptides

But if your basics aren’t solid, those tools won’t work the way you want them to.

Here’s where I have my clients start instead:

✅ Sleep 7–9 hours → this is when your gut repairs, hormones reset, and inflammation goes down
✅ Eat balanced meals → protein + fiber + healthy fats = stable blood sugar and better digestion
✅ Get outside daily → morning sunlight anchors your circadian rhythm (hello better sleep + hormone balance)
✅ Breathe + regulate → your nervous system controls digestion… calm body = better gut function
✅ Move your body → supports motility, detox pathways, and overall metabolic health

These aren’t sexy.
But they are the reason everything else works.

Think of the trendy tools as “extra credit”
Your foundations are the actual homework.

I promise you don’t need a vibe plate or peptides to be healthy, here’s why ⬇️

Yes, these wellness gadgets, supplements, functional tests, and protocols can have their place

But the problem I’m seeing over and over again:

People are skipping the foundations and jumping straight to the fancy stuff

Because they’re fun and trendy and sexy

And the basics are booooring 😴

But the fancy stuff won’t get you very far if you’re not FIRST doing the unsexy, foundational stuff.

The stuff that works every time because it’s how our body evolved thousands of years ago.

📣 We didn’t evolve needing supplements and red light glasses and weighted vests. We just lived. Outside, in sync with the sun, eating real seasonal foods, and moving our body functionally.

So before you spend another cent on a supplement, a functional test, peptides, or a trendy wellness gadget, make sure you’re locking in on these habits:

👄 Chewing your food
🥗 Eating enough + eating consistently
🚶🏻‍♀️Getting gentle daily movement
☀️ AM sunlight and PM darkness
🧘‍♀️ Making your body feel safe

I know these aren’t the sexy magic pill (or injection) or gadget you’re lusting after, but these are free AND they work.

Ladies! 📣If you’re tracking protein but not fiber, you’re missing out

Protein is amazing for blood sugar, metabolism, and hormone production.

But fiber is what keeps your gut moving, feeds your microbiome, and helps your body detox estrogen.

And without fiber?
