etails and future events. Mel Rio is the founder, owner and sole practitioner of the Singing Bowl Sound Bath Studio, LLC. Mel Rio is a certified Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner from both the "Atma Buti Sound & Vibrational School" and "The Singing Bowl & Sound Institute of New York". Mel Rio is also a certified Usui Reiki Master and Crystal Reiki Healer. While experimenting with Sound Healing, Sound & Vibration Massage Therapy, Usui Reiki and Crystal Energy Healing, she created and practices what she now calls "Sonic Crystal Reiki". "Sonic Crystal Reiki" is a unique healing modality which combines Sound Healing, Sound Vibrational Therapy with Reiki and Crystal Energy Healing. Sound Healing instruments used by Mel Rio during a session are Antique Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls, the Buffalo Drum, The Gong, Japanese Rin bowls, Tibetan Tingshas and Koshi Wind Chimes. Included with the "Sonic Crystal Reiki" Sound Bath experience is a Reiki + Energy healing Crystal Body Layout created individually for each client, where the crystals are placed to work directly on/around the body, targeting each Chakra, to assist in healing in combination with the sound and vibrational instruments during the session. The Sound Bath experience with Mel Rio becomes more than a relaxing sound bath meditation. The client will be immersed in both Sound and Vibrations, which will feel like they are massaging the entire body and surrounding energy fields. Blockages and stagnant energy will be cleared, Tension and Pain released, while Healing Crystals help bring balance and harmony to the energy fields/chakras, targeting specific mental, emotional and physical healing intentions. The Singing Bowl Sound Bath Studio, LLC. was created to be a Sacred Sound Healing Space intended to educate and promote the use of Antique Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls as sound and vibrational healing tools used during sound baths and meditations. Antique Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls are different from other sound healing instruments in that they can be played around the body, showering the body with sound. As well as placed and played in various ways directly on the body, massaging the body with both sound and vibrations. Most Antique Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls are also multiphonic, which means that they produce several musical notes at the same time when played, which is beneficial and ideal for obtaining a meditative state and healing experience.
