Before you passed away, you told me you wanted me to throw you a party at our house. You wanted everyone together… and a huge picture of you. 😂 I told you I’d do whatever you wanted.

We never got to have that party, but I feel so honored that I was able to host a beautiful challah bake in your memory on your English birthday. How ironic that the happiest person I know had a birthday on Tisha B’Av.

There were pictures of you everywhere, everything was decorated in your favorite color, and the people who loved you were all together. It wasn’t the celebration we had imagined, but somehow it was exactly what it was meant to be.

The day was perfect. I hope we made you smile. We love you and miss you every single day.
