And there is good reason for this. Patients who share their lifestyle data with their provider or doctor are more likely to make positive lifestyle decisions during their day.

What that can mean:

- Adding those nutrients to their diet you chatted about last visit 🥑
- Getting those greens in daily 🥦

All more CONSISTENTLY = 🗝️

Because, here’s the secret - we all still want gold stars ⭐️

But when we become adults, no one gets them anymore. Maybe if you are lucky a bit at work, but rarely for taking care of yourself. Positive feedback or otherwise from a trusted expert and real human can make a world of difference in motivating behaviour change.

Oligoantigenic - the pear 🍐

What is the oligoantigenic diet? It’s a special diet for ADHD & ADD as part of a longer elimination and food sensitivity plan-

The least offenders?
- pear, lettuce, turkey, rice, water

While food sensitivity's contribution is a fascinating theory, another interesting hypothesis for ADHD is what's called the low dopamine hypothesis. Whereby a low dopamine state of the brain makes it hard to downregulate the default mode network.

Interestingly, some integrative approaches have tried certain neurotransmitter precursors, such as supplying the body with specific amino acids used by the body to manufacture dopamine.

These include L-tyrosine, Taurine, and more.

Life's all about growth, isn't it? 🌱

At the flöka team we have an book club! Lately, we've been reading "Mindset" by Carol Dweck together.

It's this incredible resource for growing anything- baby humans, teams, ourselves.

A big takeaway was how important it is to acknowledge effort and hard work over talent. Why? It's fascinating. Saying someone is talented implies a fixed identity. When really, we get more talented the more practice, effort, and time we put into anything.

Takeaways ⭐️

⭐️On your healing journey thinking about your self-talk - reward yourself for your effort.
⭐️ Being "healthy" is no fixed trait- each day, it's tiny efforts stacked up together that make us feel good.
⭐️ Even if you are having a bad day, you can thank yourself for the small steps you did take. It also helps us create an honest inner dialog - where we think of ourselves label-free - just as a sum of effort.

What’s the best wellness learning/ routine you gained during the pandemic? I’ll go first: definitely at home workouts. They are no joke 😅

+ Learning to work out with my cycle and the power of stretching 🙆🏻‍♀️ thank you . Made a huge difference. Learning that sometimes when you don’t feel like working out it’s not only natural but what you may need is gentler movement was a game changer. Because women are not just small men!

So of course we wanted to make this accessible for all of you. 🖤
