Please join us in sending our deepest condolences to the Rondeau Family on the loss of their beloved Beebop.

“Beebop, originally Scout #16 from L4R, was truly our big, sweet boy — a loyal companion for over fourteen wonderful years. From Alabama with a banjo on his paw, he quickly became the heart of their family.

Though a reluctant big brother to Georgia, Levon, and River, Beebop was always ready to charm everyone — especially if snacks were involved! His days in Vermont were filled with hikes, cool swims, and joyful playtimes.

From cuddles in his younger days to quietly resting at the foot of the bed in later years, Beebop’s gentle spirit touched all who knew him. His grumpy groans, stinky kisses, and soft puppy ears will be dearly missed.

The Rondeau family’s lives are forever changed, and so are ours.

Rest easy, sweet Beebop. We’ll see you on the other side.”

I wasn’t prepared for how broken he looked.

They said his name was Justice.
But the life he'd lived felt anything but fair.

His fur was matted and patchy.
His body — too thin.
His eyes — tired in a way only those who’ve been forgotten understand.

He didn’t growl.
He didn’t run.
He just laid there, quietly… like a soul who stopped asking for more.

But we did more.
We saw him.
And we said: No more suffering. Not on our watch.

What came next was slow, sacred work —
Gently earning his trust.
Treating the wounds you can see… and the ones you can’t.
Teaching him that hands can heal, that voices can be kind.

And Justice?

These puppies knew only metal cages, filthy floors, and the smell of fear.
