You don’t have to prepare for a laser treatment but do avoid 🌞exposure, self-tanner, and strong exfoliants/retinoids for 1 week beforehand.
Don’t wax, thread, or pluck for 2–4 weeks prior, because the laser needs the hair root.
During treatment you’ll wear eye protection, a cooling method is used, and you’ll feel quick “snaps” of heat; settings may be adjusted based on comfort and skin response.
Afterward, expect mild redness or swelling for a few hours; use cool compresses, gentle moisturizer/aloe, and daily SPF 30–50, and avoid heat (hot yoga/sauna), heavy workouts, and hot showers for 24–48 hours.
Skip retinoids, acids, scrubs, and picking at any bumps for about 3–7 days. Most people need a series of sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart for the face, plus occasional maintenance. DM for the appointment m.
