Last night, our Women in Medicine series continued with some of the most respected names in healthcare.

An evening of cocktails, candid conversation, and brilliant minds across specialties, united by a shared purpose: to build community, exchange hard-earned wisdom, and rise together.

This series is a living reflection of how we practice at The Lanby — care that’s connected, collaborative, and built on trusted relationships. Because the best outcomes happen when people and perspectives come together.

We’re proud to keep creating this space in partnership with Commodore Nursing.

More evenings like this on the way.

Small daily habits add up to big results over time.

➕ Prioritize home-cooked meals—simple, nourishing, and consistent is better than perfect.
➕ Break up sedentary time by staying active throughout the day: take the stairs, get off the subway a stop early, or fit in a quick walk at lunch.
➕ Reduce screen time before bed to support deeper, more restorative sleep. Aim for 7–9 hours per night.

It’s not about doing everything, it’s about doing a few small things well, every day.

SUPPLEMENT SPOTLIGHT: PROBIOTICS

Our Wellness Advisor and Registered Dietitian, Taylor, shares how we approach probiotics at The Lanby: it’s always case by case.

Some people can benefit greatly from a high-quality probiotic, but the key isn’t when you take it—it’s consistency. Morning or night, choose a time that fits your routine and stick with it.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE!

Pediatric care is often focused on treating symptoms — fevers, rashes, sore throats, infections, but true child health starts long before something feels “wrong.”

In this episode, our Medical Director Dr. Stephanie Wallman, reframes pediatrics through a functional medicine lens, sharing how to build a strong foundation for kids from birth through childhood — supporting gut health, immunity, and whole-body wellbeing for the long run.

In this One Take on One Take, you’ll learn:
- Why birth method, early nutrition, and food introductions matter for gut + immune development
- How to look beyond symptoms like constipation, rashes, and recurrent infections to uncover root causes
- How to support immune system, skin, and gut health without relying solely on antibiotics or symptom-based care
- What a whole-child approach looks like (nutrition, movement, stress, emotional wellbeing) to set kids up for lifelong health

Cold + flu season is here. Our Wellness Advisor and Registered Dietitian, Taylor is sharing simple, powerful tips to help keep your immune system strong:

Stay hydrated — aim for half your body weight in ounces, and add electrolytes (we love LMNT or trace minerals)
Prioritize sleep — at least 7 hours a night so your body + mind can truly recharge.
Wash your hands — it’s basic, but essential
Be strategic with supplements — we recommend “Wellness Essentials” from Source Naturals

Small daily habits = a stronger defense this season. What’s your go-to immune-support ritual?
