On July 1, nearly half a million New Yorkers lost health insurance through the Essential Plan due to federal cuts.
More than half have already found new coverage. But for those who haven’t, the deadline is a week away.

A special enrollment period for 450,000 New Yorkers impacted by changes to state's Essential Plan is set to end on Aug. 30.

Our advocates are in the field at the New York State Fair making sure New Yorkers know what’s happening to their healthcare. Unfortunately, many folks still don’t even know their coverage is being cut.
