Made our annual pilgrimage to the graves to honor loved ones lost. I always stop and visit this angel even though no one I know was buried here. Whenever we take this journey, this is one of my stops. She is so very lovely. Whoever made this wonderful creation brings comfort to everyone who notices her, and she is so very hard to miss!

Piper tweets nonstop every time I visit. He won't stop until I let him eat chia seeds off my finger. As I watched him eat, I noticed the magical world of bright colors and textures inside his cage. Piper became my muse in the creating of Piper's Paradise: a playful home for my aunt’s parrotlet, Piper. Quite a crazy creative journey, but I'm finding the outcome strangely satisfying! Oh! This pink chair! When reading in it as a child, it was covered in green velvet. Its bigness made me feel warm and safe. Mom reupholstered it and I dyed it pink to try and cover up the fading fabric. I think I will need to pick a new covering eventually. Yet, I do appreciate its worn and loved look and feel. Maybe I just let it be: loved and lovely in its own way?

This is my most beloved toy from my childhood. There’s something about miniature worlds that completely captures my imagination. Peering into them feels like stepping into a hidden universe—one filled with magic, wonder, and quiet stories waiting to be discovered. Every tiny detail invites you to slow down, look closer, and explore. In these small spaces, inspiration expands. What appears little becomes limitless—a reminder that entire worlds can live within the smallest of places.

This bed held more than sleep—it held wonder. I used to trace every curve and swirl, getting lost in the details my mom chose so carefully, her sense of beauty shaping how I first saw the world. Repainting it now feels like reopening that space—where imagination, comfort, and love all lived together. The memory isn’t just visual… it’s something I still carry, something that continues to guide what I make. It's still with me on my journey.

This shadow box is where the journey often begins—a gathering of possibilities. Small objects, fragments, and found pieces, each carrying their own quiet story.

I don’t always know what they will become, but along this journey I’ve learned to trust that something will call to me. This is my starting point for assemblage… a place of choices, intuition, and discovery.

This bed is a strong memory from my mom’s bedroom. The carved post and curved headboard always felt solid and intentional—like they defined the space.

I focused on those details, keeping the design clear and structured. Around it, I layered collage from my home—images and textures that echo the space I grew up in. The writing is also mine, pulled from reflections about home and placed directly into the piece.

This is part of my journey—using images and words to hold onto where I come from.

This piece began years ago—and like many things from childhood, it needed time before it made sense.

"Childhood" is built from the language of play: yarn, beads, pipe cleaners, macaroni, and bright, found objects transformed into something whimsical and alive. I recently revisited and reworked it, and now… it finally feels complete.

Sometimes the work just needs to marinate—just like we do. The creative journey takes its own sweet time.

Seriously! Take this journey! Upstairs at The Sparkle Barn in Wallingford, Vermont is the stunning Bloom Room, an immersive installation created by artist Stacy Harshman Art. It’s a joyful explosion of color, flowers, and creativity.

And don’t skip the gift shop downstairs—it’s just as spectacular as the magical space upstairs. Truly a place built for wonder and inspiration. ✨
