Brown spots on the face are common, but they are not all the same. Sun spots, melasma, post inflammatory pigmentation, and seborrheic keratoses each require a different laser strategy. The right wavelength, pulse duration, and energy settings matter. So does the diagnosis - is it safe to treat?

Laser treatments can safely and effectively lift unwanted pigment when the diagnosis is correct and the device is properly selected. When it is not, you risk worsening discoloration, scarring, rebound pigmentation, and medical complications.

My advice: never treat a brown spot without a proper evaluation. Choose a highly qualified, board certified dermatologist who understands laser physics, skin biology, and how to customize treatment for your skin type.

Healthy skin is not about chasing trends, it is about making informed decisions.
