The “one size fits all” approach often means “one size fits a few.” At Tia, we’re changing that.

Our in-clinic robes are sustainable, silky, and size-inclusive for bodies 0-28. We created them in collaboration with a local design studio and our patients, after asking how they wanted to feel at the doctor’s office. Because your comfort is a clinical priority, too. 💖

This AAPI Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the strength of our communities while also looking at the importance of preventive care and how different risk factors can impact long term health.

The “Model Minority” myth can also shape healthcare experiences. When diverse populations are grouped into one broad “Asian American” category, important health differences can be overlooked.

General screening recommendations are often based on population averages, which can miss ancestry-specific risk patterns. That can affect when screenings begin and which conversations happen in the exam room.

At Tia, we believe in personalized care informed by disaggregated data. Context matters, and precision is a key part of prevention. Swipe to learn about health data that often goes overlooked and head to the link in our bio to read more. 🩺✨

No matter your age, one of the most powerful things you can do for your health is stay proactive. Preventive screenings can help you stay informed, support early detection, and give you greater peace of mind.

As we wrap up National Women’s Health Week, we’re breaking down what routine health screenings and annual exam conversations may look like through different stages of life.

PCOS is officially being renamed to PMOS.

After a 14-year global effort involving 56 professional societies and thousands of patients, Polycystic O***y Syndrome is renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS).

The name change signals a move toward a more accurate, holistic approach that looks at impacts on the whole person. Many with the condition don’t have cysts, and the syndrome impacts so much more than just the ovaries, affecting everything from insulin levels and heart health to mental wellbeing.

Swipe through to see what this means for you and how the transition will roll out over the next few years. ➡️

For a long time, the medical world was built on a one-size-fits-all model that often overlooked the unique cultural and social needs of different communities. Dr. Margaret Chung refused to accept that standard.

As the first American-born Chinese female physician, she spent her career breaking down barriers that limited access to quality care in her community.

This AAPI Heritage Month, we’re honoring her legacy as a pioneer who didn’t just practice medicine, she helped translate it, bridging Western medical practices with the cultural needs of San Francisco’s Chinatown.

Swipe to learn how Dr. Chung’s story of resilience helped pave the way for culturally competent, whole-person care today. ✨
