Residency programs: What is the most complicated case you saw this year?

The Foundation for Podiatric Medicine is accepting proposals for the Complications Seminar for Residents at NY27. Each program presents one case in a focused 10-minute talk, then the room weighs in on both the academic and risk management sides. Surgical, medical, or diagnostic complications are all welcome.

The Seminar is part of the Young Member’s Institute on Saturday, January 23, 2027 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Prizes go to the top three programs, and the first five eligible submissions receive a sleeping room at the Marquis.

We're calling on DPMs to submit their most compelling case studies for panel discussion consideration at the NY27 Clinical Conference — January 21-24, 2027.

Whether it's an innovative approach, a complex diagnostic challenge, or a standout outcome, we want to hear about it. Submissions are reviewed by the Scientific Committee of The Foundation for Podiatric Medicine.

300-500 word summary
Patient demographics, diagnosis, treatment plan & outcomes
X-rays and special imaging (required)
Why submit?
