My disability doesnโ€™t stop meโ€ผ๏ธWith my right calf, foot, & ankle being paralyzed it has been MUCH harder to workout. Not only could I not do anything like I used to in the gym, but I also had to cope with that fact that Iโ€™d have to completely change my style of training to fit my disability and capabilities. It may not seem like it, but I live with chronic pain on the dailyโ€ผ๏ธ I have to fight through that pain during my sessions because I am so determined to keep up with my goals and continue to work on myself and my body. And I limp my ass home once itโ€™s done but itโ€™s so worth it โฃ

This year has taught me I can fight through anything and come back as snatched as I want to be. That before picture isnโ€™t even the real before yโ€™all. I was SICKLY skinny. Literal skin and bones and I needed 24 hour assistance to do everything and anything. If I can do it, SO CAN YOUโ—๏ธ โฃ

Lately Iโ€™ve been feeling like Iโ€™m drowning. Iโ€™ve been having setbacks in my recovery and itโ€™s really been getting to me. And as important as it is to try and stay positive and keep your head above water, itโ€™s equally as important to take the time you need to lick your wounds. โฃ

Constantly forcing a happy face & ignoring whatโ€™s within can be self destructive and counterproductive. Give yourself that time. Give yourself that space. Allow yourself to cry and scream. Allow yourself to be alone and have terrible days. This is not weakness! This is not giving up! It takes power to admit we are not ok! Work through that vulnerability until you find your way through. โฃ

If there is ONE thing Iโ€™ve learned in life, especially these past 5 months in recovery, is that you will find relief if you ask for help and lean on those who love you. If you keep up with me on my stories, (which you should ๐Ÿ˜‰), youโ€™d know that I developed an ulcer on my foot from the brace I wear. The brace has since been adjusted, but the healing process is slow, and I have had to skip the gym for most of it. BUT I am finally at a point where I feel I can go back so we are back to these ๐Ÿ”ฅ routines thatโ€™ll give you the best workout youโ€™ve ever had. โฃโฃ
