In this economic climate, maintaining a family owned business for that duration is no small feat! In other ways, it makes perfect sense that this unique business has grown and flourished. The person-to-person relationships offered by a company determined not to outgrow itself, as well as personalized services such as custom scenting, secured a place in the business world for Body Time. What started as a small shop on Berkeley’s famed Telegraph Avenue eventually grew into a 10-store business with mail order and wholesale divisions and now at SeaCret Scents in NYC. HISTORY
After moving from the San Francisco Bay Area to NYC, Elena Robinson, owner of SeaCret Scents continued to purchase Body Time Products and thought it would be a great business to start since she loved the products so much and there wasn’t a Body Time store in NYC. Lucky for her the company she works for allows her to sell to employees through their amazing employee initiative program. SeaCret Scents first started in September 2007 by Elena. Elena stated selling products by having special events at work during holidays, hair salons, birthday parties, girls night out-you name it… She quickly realized that offering a complete line of body products worked well for gift giving, networking, and having that special scent around constantly. Now…SeaCret Scents has a regular cliental and has customers from all over the world that frequents NYC and stop by to purchase products when they are in town.
