A great example of how strong infection prevention practices can make a real difference in patient outcomes.
A study involving NICUs, including Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon, found that enhanced infection control measures such as improved hand hygiene, health screening, masking during high-risk periods, and careful visitor policies were associated with a significant reduction in hospital-acquired viral infections among newborns.
