"Four years ago, I donated a kidney to my Dad. It changed my life – because I was able to change his. We're incredibly grateful to be living proof of the life-changing impact of living kidney donation. But so many families, just like ours, are still waiting for their lives to change.

At the National Kidney Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves access to the knowledge, resources, and support needed to make informed decisions about their kidney health.

Did you know that approximately 90% of adults with chronic kidney disease don't even know they have it? Because kidney disease often shows no symptoms in its early stages, education, awareness, and early detection are more important than ever. For Nina, the Kidney Walk is deeply personal. Living donation has touched multiple generations of her family. Nina donated a kidney to her husband, and her sister also became a living donor, donating a kidney to their father. Through her own experience as a donor and the impact kidney disease has had on those closest to her, Nina walks in honor of someone she misses and loves dearly, carrying their memory with her while bringing hope to others impacted by kidney disease. ❤️

Nina’s story is a powerful reminder that every person at the Kidney Walk has a reason for showing up. Whether you walk for someone you love, in memory of someone you have lost, or in support of the kidney community, every step helps move our mission forward.

What an incredible night for Team Hope! 🎳🎤🧡

Congratulations to John Bernard and Team Hope on another successful Kidney Bowling & Karaoke Fundraiser! Despite the challenging weather, friends, family, and supporters came together for the 9th annual event and raised an amazing $1,000 in support of the kidney community and the National Kidney Foundation.

What began as a small gathering in 2014 has grown into a meaningful annual tradition centered around community, generosity, and John’s commitment to paying it forward. We are so grateful to John and everyone who continues to show up, give back, and help make a difference year after year.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event, and congratulations to Team Hope on another successful fundraiser!
