If you look at on instagram, tiktok, pinterest, etc… you’ll see perfectly portioned meals with protein/grains/veggies. It’s great if it works for you, but the majority of my clients find this SUPER overwhelming! 😵💫
And guess what, I do too! Instead of meal prepping MEALS, I like to meal prep components of meals. For example, last weekend I made 3 things, and the whole thing took less than an hour:
➡️Veggie soup which i enjoyed with an avocado/egg toast for lunch and as a snack before a late dinner.
➡️Roasted potatoes as a carb for a baked chicken dinner at the beginning of the week. I also threw in a salad with tuna, avocado and tomatoes for 2 of my lunches.
➡️Roasted cauliflower as a veggie side to that chicken dinner I made + I tossed into multiple salads during the week.
All that and I was able to multitask around the house and chill with my kids. Sometimes it isnt about what LOOKS productive and sustainable on social media, but what works for YOU and your family.
