This is not grief because someone died, but more like the mourning of the person you love is changing and the person you knew as yourself to be is changing along side them.
Anticipatory grief | Ambiguous loss |Compassion fatigue
These are very real and we want to name them for family caregivers.

This is what Prepare to Care(give) holds space for, the logistics, and the full human experience of family caregiving. Journey #

One of the hardest moments in caregiving is when you know something isn't right — and no one seems to be listening.
You have every right to speak up. And I want to help you do it well.
- You're not being difficult.
- You're not overreacting.
- You're being an advocate.

Swipe through for practical steps to find your voice — and use it with confidence, even when everything feels overwhelming.

Prepare to Care(give) is a coaching program for families who want to feel ready not just for the diagnosis, but for everything that arrives with it. The logistics. The emotions. The decisions. The quiet moments no one thinks to warn you about.

From my years as an Functional Medicine Health coach and Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, and from an unwavering belief that caregiving doesn't have to feel like something that happens to you.

It can be something you step into with intention, with tools, and with grace.

This program is for the ones who see the road ahead and want to walk it differently.

The finishing touches are happening now. Something good is coming so sign up for the Newsletter or email me.

You don't need a yoga mat, a gym, or even five uninterrupted minutes to take care of your body. You just need this.

When caregiving tension lives in your shoulders, your jaw, your chest — this short sequence helps you release it before it becomes pain.

Try this right now wherever you are. # Journey

Nobody warned me how much caregiving lives in the body.
The tight chest when your phone rings. The 3am wake-ups that aren't really about sleep. The way you stop noticing your own needs because someone else's needs have taken over the whole frequency.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 isn't only for the person who's ill. It's for the one holding the room together too.

𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐩𝐞 to see what that looks like in the middle of a caregiving season — not spa days or perfect routines, but small, real practices that help you stay intact while you show up for someone you love.

This is the work I do inside 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞(𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞).

The FIRST HOUR in a hospital room can feel like a blur. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 are 𝟥 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 to do before the overwhelm rears it's little head.

𝟏. Write down every name and number. Every nurse. Every doctor. Don't trust your memory right now, you're running on adrenaline and love, and both are unreliable record-keepers.

𝟐. Use the whiteboard. Most hospital rooms have one. Ask the care team to write the day's goals, the plan, and their names on it. That whiteboard becomes your anchor to being in "the know" while in a very "unknown" situation.

𝟑. Pick one family voice. Choose one person to receive and share updates. It keeps family on the same page, it supports your loved one's recovery and reduces confusion, including for the medical team.

𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬. Share it with someone who's walking into a hospital this week not knowing where to start.
More of this coming all week.

Did you know gratitude actually changes your physiology?
Heart rate slows. Nervous system settles. The stress loop breaks.
That's why our Gratitude Sessions exist — not as a luxury, but as medicine for CAREGIVERS who are running on empty.

You can't pour from an empty cup. Let's fill yours.

Joy likes company too — even this weekend. 🙂
If you're caregiving through a holiday, you might be feeling guilt when you laugh too hard, eat good food, or (gasp) enjoy a moment? That's not a sign you love your person less. It's a sign you're still human.
You can hold Grief AND Gratitude. Exhaustion AND Joy. That's not a contradiction, that's caregiving.

This holiday weekend, give yourself permission to feel something other than survival mode.
