Recipe: 🍖🥓 Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf in the Air Fryer 🥓🍖
Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and full of flavor! Perfect for surprising your family at home 😍🔥
📝 Ingredients:
For the pie:
500g ground meat (beef or a mix with pork)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 finely chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
For the topping:
8–10 strips of bacon
1/3 cup BBQ sauce (for glazing)
Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
👩🍳 Preparation:
Base mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
Shape the pie:
Shape it into an oval or a long loaf.
Wrap with bacon:
Place the bacon strips on top, covering the entire pie (you can crisscross them or simply arrange them).
Prepare the air fryer:
Line the air fryer basket with aluminum foil and place the pie on top.
Initial cooking:
Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes.
Glaze:
Remove the pie, brush it with BBQ sauce, and return it to the air fryer.
Final cooking:
Cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the bacon is golden brown and caramelized. 🍽️ To serve:
Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve with mashed potatoes, salad, or steamed vegetables.
💡 Tips:
✔️ Use slightly fatty meat for extra juiciness.
✔️ For even more flavor, add grated cheese to the center. 😋
✔️ You can also bake it in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 45–55 minutes.
