Five things I think are worth the money after 35 years of taking care of New Yorkers: chiropractic care, a great mattress, an ergonomic work chair, nutritious organic food, and... #5 is a toss-up. 😄

Massage therapy or a solid gym membership? Which gets your vote?

I put chiropractic first because I’ve seen the value of proactively caring for the nervous system, rather than waiting until something hurts. For me, it is about helping your body move, communicate, and adapt well through every season of life.

Reminder! Rest is productive, too.

This Labor Day, I’m grateful for a chance to slow down, recharge, and appreciate a profession I’ve loved for 35 years. I hope your day includes good people, good food, and whatever helps you feel restored. 🇺🇸

Happy Labor Day from 57th Street Chiropractic! Comment and tell me how you spent your weekend. 👇

If something smells in your kitchen, lighting a candle might make the room smell better for a while. I would still recommend taking out the trash. 😉

I think about health in a similar way. Temporary symptom relief can be helpful, but my job as a chiropractor is to look deeper at how your spine and nervous system are functioning and identify areas where communication and movement may be disrupted.

After 35 years in practice, I still believe that better function is where meaningful change begins.

Did you know? Tummy time is an important part of your baby’s early development—but if your baby consistently struggles with it, it may be worth looking a little deeper.

Frequent crying, difficulty lifting the head, stiffness, or a strong preference for one direction can be signs that your baby may need a closer assessment.

You don’t have to simply wonder if it’s normal.

Even an uncomplicated birth is a big physical experience for a baby.

Position in utero, navigating the birth canal, a long(or very fast) pushing stage, medications during labor, or a C-section can all influence how a newborn’s spine moves and their nerves function afterward. There’s not a “perfect” way to give birth; all of it can impact a baby’s spine.

We are looking at how your baby’s nervous system is adapting after birth. 👶

🔰Tension and arching their backs

🔰Only turning their head one way

🔰Difficulty latching

🔰 Colic and gas

🔰 Constipation

🔰 Long stretches of fussiness, or restless sleep

All of these can be signs that your baby may need extra support unwinding from birth.

I love caring for babies, supporting their nervous system health, which is foundational for development and an active, healthy, drug-free life. 🤍

One of the greatest joys of my career has been watching children grow up.
Some first came to see me as newborns.

Today they're heading off to school, playing sports, graduating, and beginning families of their own. That's an incredible privilege. ❤️

As chiropractors, we don't measure success by simply making symptoms disappear. We focus on helping the nervous system function the way it was designed to.

Your child's nervous system influences every stage of development, from movement and coordination to learning, digestion, sleep, emotional regulation, and adapting to everyday stress.

Our role isn't to "fix" children.

It's to help remove interference that may be limiting healthy communication between the brain and body so they have every opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.

Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Thank you to the families who have trusted us with that responsibility since 1991. It truly means the world to us.

🤰👶 If you're looking for a chiropractor with decades of experience caring for babies, children, and growing families, we'd love to meet you.

If you've ever had a chiropractic adjustment, you may have heard a little "pop."
It sounds a bit like popcorn. 🍿

That sound is simply a tiny gas bubble being released from a joint as movement is restored. It's completely normal, but here's something many people don't realize...we aren’t trying to make it “pop.”

An adjustment is about improving motion and supporting healthy communication between your brain and body.

Sometimes you'll hear a release, and sometimes you won't. Either way, Dr. Gregg is focused on the quality of the adjustment, not the noise it makes.

When it comes to babies and young children, the experience is even gentler. Their joints move differently than an adult's, so you typically won't hear any popping at all. Most infants stay relaxed, snuggle with a parent, or even sleep right through their visit. 🤱

If you've been nervous about bringing your child to a chiropractor, you're not alone. We take the time to answer every question and make sure both you and your child feel comfortable every step of the way.

After caring for NYC families for more than three decades, we've learned that reassurance is just as important as the adjustment itself.
