We The Patients

We The Patients We The Patients is a patient led movement built by people who have lived inside the healthcare system and refused to stay quiet.

We organize patients, caregivers, and families to demand accountability and fight for patient rights. We The Patients is a national patient rights organization working to advance accountability and enforceable protections across American healthcare. We focus on transforming lived patient experience into coordinated civic action that drives policy and system change. Our work begins with cancer and

extends beyond it, organizing patients, survivors, caregivers, and allies into a unified constituency that cannot be ignored. Through legislation, public engagement, and collective pressure, We The Patients exists to strengthen patient rights and hold institutions accountable.

Patients with MS, Parkinson's, lupus, heart disease, rare diseases, and chronic illnesses of all kinds kept telling us the same story: different diagnoses, same fight.

We're building a movement for all of them, and we need your voice!

Weโ€™re thrilled to announce that Tim Boyum - Storytelling will be joining us at We The Patients LIVE for a powerful Fireside Chat: โ€œFrom Diagnosis to Power.โ€This conversation will dig into how inequity begins at diagnosis, why representation truly matters, and how patients build real influence when we organize together.

Weโ€™re also honored to welcome NC Representative Dr. Tim Reeder (9th District) to our panel. A physician with ECU Emergency Medicine and a recognized leader in healthcare reform, Rep. Reeder has been instrumental in strengthening advocacy and empowering others to engage more effectively in the policy process.

From patient rights and insurance navigation to grassroots organizing and legislative impact, this evening brings together patients, caregivers, physicians, advocates, and policymakers for a deep, honest conversation about what patient power looks like in 2026.

We are energized by the response to We The Patients LIVE!

The diversity of voices already registered for this conversation is exactly why this event matters. Patients, caregivers, clinicians, advocates, and community leaders all coming together in the same room to talk honestly about access, dignity, and care.

This is not a panel about patients.
It is a conversation led by them.

There are only a handful of seats remaining, and we would love to see those filled by people who believe patient voices belong at the center of healthcare, not on the margins.

If you have been waiting for the right moment to join us, this is it.

*** A quick note for those attending:
At this time, we do not anticipate winter weather in Chapel Hill, North Carolina impacting our Thursday evening event on January 29th. We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate directly with registrants should anything change.

We look forward to being together.

They can ignore one voice, but not millions sharing the same receipts!

Americaโ€™s sick will decide the 2026 midterm elections, as the American health care system is designed to put profits over patients and two-thirds of all bankruptcies are medical, while ACA prโ€ฆ
