Please join us in celebrating our invaluable Mount Sinai Hospital System volunteers during National Health Care Volunteer Week 2026, Sunday, April 19, to Saturday, April 25.

Every year, over 3,000 dedicated Mount Sinai volunteers give their time, service, and heart to comfort Mount Sinai patients, support staff, further research, and enrich our health care community. Volunteers embody Mount Sinai’s values of safety, equity, agility, creativity, empathy, and teamwork, and reflect the best of One Mount Sinai.

If you see someone at Mount Sinai Brooklyn in a volunteer jacket, quietly working their magic, please let them know they are appreciated—in April and always.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for their continued support.

In recognition of Workplace Violence Prevention Month and Earth Day, we hosted a tabling event focused on education, awareness, and action.

Staff learned practical tips for preventing workplace violence and how our local Workplace Violence Prevention Committee supports a culture of safety and zero tolerance. We also highlighted the important role every team member plays in sustainability: reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and creating healthier environments through everyday practices.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and took part in these important conversations.
