If you’re looking to help those recovering from the devastation from the LA fires, I’ve done some research for you…

LA Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1991 to harness LA’s volunteer power. Each year they mobilize tens of thousands of volunteers to address critical issues impacting our community, with the goal to unite Angelenos and inspire action for a more equitable Los Angeles.

Right now they are doing the critical work of organizing and directing volunteers (and donations) to the organizations that need them the most. Their work ensures that more people affected by the LA fires know what resources are available to them and that those resources are well funded and organized.

If you are in a place to do so, please consider donating to LA works.

If you are in LA and looking to direct your time and resources more specifically, check out https://www.laworks.com/2025fires . They have made the information clear and accessible.

It was such an honor to work with ( ) —an incredible vocalist, songwriter, and teaching artist whose music blends cinematic beauty and raw emotion.

Here’s what IVA had to say about our work together:

“Belinda was the first Alexander Technique practitioner I visited in person after the pandemic lockdown, and she handled our work with great care and presence. As a singer and songwriter preparing for a tour, I was nervous after not performing for a while. She helped me embody my performances and alleviate chronic pain from a whiplash accident. She had a full understanding of my needs, and my performances were even more powerful thanks to her guidance.”

Helping artists like IVA feel more embodied, confident, and free in their craft is why I love what I do. 🌟

👀 Be sure to check out IVA’s stunning work—her evocative music has graced stages from the Swedish Royal Opera to NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien!

What is the cure to our ancient fear-based habits?…

“In highly charged situations, or anytime at all, we could shake up our ancient fear-based habits by simply pausing. When we do that, we allow some space to contact the natural openness of our mind and let our natural intelligence emerge. Natural intelligence knows intuitively what will soothe and what will get us more churned up; this can be lifesaving information.” - Pema Chodron
