Custom Oriental-style full sleeve by MJ MJ

MJ first created a half sleeve for this client. When the client wanted to extend it, she designed the rest of the sleeve to flow with the original piece.

A full sleeve is one of the most visible tattoos you can wear. When the design looks beautiful and holds meaning for you, it can become something you’ll treasure for life.

The tattooing took about nine hours across two sessions, or around ten hours including the full process.

FROM SCAR TO ART by MJ MJ

Sometimes, covering a scar with a tattoo can give it new meaning and help restore your confidence.

For scar cover-ups, the scar should generally be fully healed and at least two years old before it can be tattooed.

It’s also important to keep in mind that a cover-up design needs enough space to naturally and effectively conceal the scar. In most cases, the tattoo should be at least 1.5 times larger than the scar itself, depending on the shape, placement, and condition of the scar.
