This was super fun to do and hearing the story was so special!

Here is Miller’s story —-

“When I was in high school, my classmates and I raised caterpillars to butterflies for a group project. On release day, one girl brought Miller in a tiny Tupperware and said he never made it out of his chrysalis. I checked the Tupperware, and he was out, but he didn’t have any room to dry his wings so they were all crumpled. I left him on a tree to see if he could dry his wings there. I left the park, but started to get worried because it was raining. I went back with my mom a couple of hours later and somehow spotted him on the grass. We took him home and thought, okay, they live for a month, so we’ll just try to give him a nice life for the month. Miller’s wings never properly dried, so even though he tried to fly, he never could. I still took him out to chill on the grass as much as possible, and he would just sit on my books and laptop while I was studying.

A week later, my mom went to check on Miller in the morning, and he had passed away. It was devastating. He certainly wasn’t the typical pet, but he was the best lil butterfly companion there was! I’m so grateful I can keep his memory alive and with me forever.”
