Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, Rep. Mark DeSaulnier and Joe Wilson have introduced the Lainie Jones Comprehensive Cancer Survivorship Act, which would help survivors receive financial support as they navigate remission.

The Lainie Jones Comprehensive Cancer Survivorship Act would establish cancer survivorship care models and services that are responsive to the unique needs of lymphoma survivors and survivors of all ages and all types of cancer, employment services to support work reentry and employment challenges, and specialized programs that would support survivors from diagnosis and beyond.

This legislation would support the Foundation’s ongoing survivorship programs as well as support research to improve survivorship care.

Thank you especially to Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her unwavering commitment to cancer survivors and her tireless effort to work through the legislative process to support cancer survivors.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation is committed to supporting patients and their loved ones so that no woman – or person – feels alone in their lymphoma journey.

For Women’s Health Week, we’re sharing an inspiring story of hope and resilience from Lyndi, who was diagnosed with stage 3 diffuse large B-cell mediastinal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2019.

“Cancer shook my faith, tested my love, challenged everything I thought was true. And yet, it made me love myself and trust my body—the one that fought for me, carried me, even when it looked different, even when I didn’t recognize it.”

Twenty-five years after her diagnosis and treatment, Debbie Roscoe is thankful for her cancer.

Debbie was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma at just 34 years old. After treatment and remission, she’s determined to not take anything for granted and support others through their lymphoma journey.

“I strongly feel that I have been given this gift of life and I want to give back where I can to help others.”

Join Debbie at Lake Nokomis on Saturday, June 6 as we walk to support lymphoma patients, their loved ones and their care partners. Find more info, register and donate here: https://giving.lymphoma.org/event/2026-minnesota-lymphoma-walk/e737370
