✨Yesterday was understandably a very sad day as the news of Dolly’s passing spread around the internet. While I know that she’s with Jesus now because she very openly talked about her relationship (not religion) with God, today feels like the world lost some of its brightness. I wasn’t a super fan or anything, but I always respected her as a talented artist and enjoyed her sparkle, positivity, and more recently, her ability to openly share her opinion in a way that was always empathetic and kind. Literally everyone thought well of her at least to some degree, and as some of the posts I’ve seen mentioned, it’s because she did her very best to think of others while still being true to what she knew was real. That’s a tough balance to strike but she did it with ease, and with more than a little sparkle. Now I want to be like Dolly in that way, which I think perfectly aligns with showing everyone God’s love, regardless of differing perspectives or opinions✨🩷💫
If you’re anything like me and feeling just a bit down today, I wanted to share a quick energy medicine exercise that could help you process grief and sadness. Place one hand on the very top of your head, and the other on your forehead. Breathe deeply, and relax. This is a neurovascular technique that will engage the relevant meridians (in this case, lung and large intestine), to help you work through those big emotions. If you try it, feel free to let me know if you felt a shift, even just a little one 🙏🏻🩷🎶✨
