The Race Half Marathon
The humidity and hills tried to take me out.
Definitely not the race I wanted but sometimes that’s just how it goes with racing.
Thankful for my sidekick Garry Wylie for switching to the half and making sure I finished upright! I don’t remember this race being this hard in 2018!!!
Grateful for 1st in age group award.
Great to see the Run Fam!
Back to training. Definitely adding more hill work!

Such a love/hate relationship with this race…every year I question why I signed up to suffer in the heat/hills/humidity that test my physical and mental fortitude, but it’s the family reunion with the Run Community under the tree with South Fulton Running Partners that keeps me signing up year after year, over and over again. Definitely not my best Peachtree, but I promised myself I would run smart and not become a casualty on the pavement due to the expected heat. Although it was not as bad as I expected, I just couldn’t get the gears to turnover consistently. More than likely, I will probably be facing this same dilemma next year and questioning my sanity yet again 😂Until then, may the 4th be with you and Happy Running 🏃🏾‍♀️

Another Marathon in the Books!
A bit of GI distress Friday after eating and the expected increased temperatures overall made me decide to turn this into a training run. However, I couldn’t pull back fully so I’m blessed to walk away with a 1st place age group award. No PR. No BQ. But a race I’m well pleased with. The marathon is always mental, and today my mind definitely won against the marathon🥇
