I can’t believe this day has arrived to lose my best friend, the most sweetest, most beautiful girl dog in the world.

She was shy, stunning, snobby to any dog that wasn’t a greyhound. She NEVER ONCE did anything wrong…We were so lucky to have her for 8 years, 6 months. She ran, swam in lakes, loved car rides, went to agility classes, was a fashion diva who loved wearing costumes, but hated to wear jackets or pajamas. LOVED FOOD. I can promise you that another 8 years would NOT have been enough… 💔

Greycie had severe arthritis for several years, and tolerated the treatments and medications well.

About a week ago, she developed a slight odd sounding cough, but not often. She was panting a lot. Took her to the vet on Monday morning. The X-Ray showed there is a baseball sized tumor in her chest cavity that was pressing on her heart and esophagus. The tumor was slowly strangling her, and we absolutely had no idea. She always remained hungry. I promised her the day I adopted her, I would NEVER let her suffer.

We gave her the final act of love we could give…. We made the decision to let her join the angels.

Monday morning got her exrays, and Tuesday afternoon she was set free.

Her vet came to the house, and sent Greycie on her voyage to the rainbow bridge.

Greycie was NOT scared, NOT in pain, and we both stayed with her until she was no more. She has no more pain, and can breath deeply, and she’s finally running free.

Until we meet again…..💔
