I am so grateful for the people I get to help support through my work. 💗 This particular client I found by way of a letter in Houston, TX. He called me 3 months after he received it, shortly after he lost his home and was living in his car. I treated him with kindness and grace while we got to work. Two months into gathering necessary documents, we needed 2 final documents witnessed and notarized by someone that knew him for at least 10years. It was then that I dug further and found his mother's sister was still living (at 90!) and his 2 cousins. They were living about 2 1/2 hours away, but by the grace of god, were coming to the Houston area the next day for 3 doctor appointments. The family had gone so long without seeing or hearing from him they approached the situation with caution. (They were almost scammed by a different company that was trying to reach my client, but had no contact to him and were going to try to get the funds for themselves ) They agreed to meet him and said if it was truly their cousin they would whole heartedly sign the documents we needed to help him get his funds. They reunited for the first time since my clients mother's funeral 10 years ago. 💗 I then got to connect with the family and found out that my client was an Atomic physicist with several physics degrees and used to teach at a very prestigious university, that he left to help take care of his ailing parents. I'm so proud I can help this family reunite and give him the life and opportunities that he will get to live more fully. 💗
