Regenerative therapies depend on the condition of the tissue receiving them.

PRP, biologics, rehabilitation, nutrition, sleep, circulation, and mechanical loading all interact with the local cellular environment.

Photobiomodulation is being studied as a complementary tool because of its effects on mitochondrial signaling, circulation, inflammation, and tissue-repair pathways.

The practical question for a regenerative practice is:

How are we preparing and supporting the tissue before and after the primary intervention?

PBM should not be presented as a guaranteed amplifier for every procedure. The evidence, timing, dose, and application matter.

Used thoughtfully, it may become part of a more complete recovery environment and a valuable service that supports the rest of the practice.

This is an area where practitioner education is essential because adding light without a clear plan creates more noise than value.

I entered photobiomodulation as a customer first.

In 2008, a serious car accident damaged my cervical spine. I received multiple surgical recommendations, and I had to decide what recovery path I was willing to pursue.

I had already experienced light therapy years earlier for basketball related injuries. PBM became a central part of the recovery plan I chose, and that experience changed the direction of my life.

It is why I built UltraRed Light.

It is why I care so much about the difference between a device sale and real implementation.

It is why I train practitioners instead of shipping equipment and disappearing.

It's why the heart of UltraRed is improving lives.

The clinic is where the science meets real people, real schedules, real questions, and real follow-through. That experience shapes how we support every LightMD owner.

I did not enter this field because red light became popular. I entered because the technology became personal.

Red LEDs do not make two devices equivalent.

Most people see a red glow and assume every system is doing roughly the same thing. In clinical photobiomodulation, the questions go much deeper:

What wavelengths are being delivered?
How is dose controlled?
Does the device make contact and conform to the body?
Can the practitioner adjust programs for different tissues and goals?
What training comes with the system?

A consumer device and a programmable, contact-based system can absolutely both have value, but they are built for different levels of use.

At UltraRed Light, our clinic gives us a real-world environment to refine placement, workflow, education, and the client experience. We bring that experience into every LightMD practitioner training.

In Newport Beach, we work directly with people using LightMD technology for inflammation, pain, recovery, performance, stress support, and health optimization. That clinic experience is also what makes our practitioner work different.

We do not sell a device and disappear. We help clinics evaluate fit, choose the right system, train their team, understand the technology, build protocols, price the service, and integrate PBM into a model that patients can understand.

What a beautiful day it was!🌈 ☀️ 🔭

Last weekend we opened the doors to UltraRed Light for UNESCO 2026, and the response was even more special than we imagined.

Families explored the Ocean Light Room, kids colored under blacklights in the Invisible Light Lab, guests learned why light is important for a sustainable future, and people of all ages experienced medical-grade photobiomodulation for the first time.

We watched conversations unfold around light, sustainability, human health, art, recovery, performance, and the future of wellness. Some people came curious. Some came skeptical. All left inspired.

One of the best parts was seeing how interactive and experiential the day became. It was about helping people experience light as biology, energy, environment, community, and possibility- and equal access around the world.🌎
