UWC had the opportunity to cook for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Ronald McDonald house is a charity organization that supports families whose children are receiving life-saving treatment in local hospitals. They provide at no cost of their family a place to stay, meals, moral support, a place to relax, decompress, get some self-care, and build a community with other families who are experiencing similar situations. They are 100% supported by charitable donations, and the children can be receiving treatment at any hospital in Orange County, although most of them are at CHOC.

Recently we had the privilege to spend time with some of Tennessee and Kentucky’s finest. Thanks for coming out Josh from Nashville Fire, Dr Trevor and Captain Rob! Was great spending time with like minded people helping our first responders. Go Ducks!

For me, the turning point wasn’t a big achievement — it was my family forgiving me, and finally being honest about everything I’d done wrong.

Breaking down in group and admitting my faults showed me something I didn’t expect:

That moment changed my life. It made me want to be a better father, partner, friend, and family member.
