💚 Today, we're proud to spotlight the incredible team behind Serenity C & C Inc.'s growing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program!

Every day, our dedicated team works to empower children and families through compassionate, evidence-based care designed to help each child reach their fullest potential.

Our center-based ABA Program, located in Hampton, Virginia, serves children ages 2–12 with a primary diagnosis of Autism. Each treatment plan is individualized to strengthen communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and positive behaviors in a supportive, engaging environment.

Our services are delivered by skilled Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under the clinical supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring every child receives high-quality, personalized care.

We are currently accepting:

We are also diligently working toward accepting TRICARE to expand access for military families.

Yesterday, three members of the Serenity C & C Inc. team had the privilege of attending the 2026 vaACCSES Legislative Conference at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.

This impactful event brought together leaders, advocates, policymakers, and service providers from across the Commonwealth to discuss critical issues affecting individuals with disabilities and the organizations that support them.

We would like to recognize and thank Jasmine G., Program Director – Richmond; Colleen W., Director of Intakes, Referrals & Marketing; and Emily M., Marketing Specialist, for proudly representing Serenity C & C Inc. Their participation and engagement in these important conversations will help strengthen our services, advocacy efforts, and commitment to the individuals and families we serve.

Serenity C & C Inc. would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to making the conference such a valuable and informative experience.

Thank you to Deanna Rennon for welcoming attendees and setting the tone for a productive day. We greatly appreciated the insights shared by Mark Golden, Dr. Nedra Moncrief-Craig, Virginia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) Commissioner Daryl Washington, and Deputy Director Tammy Whitlock during the Commissioner Panel, which provided important updates on services and supports across Virginia.

We are also grateful to Becky Bowers Lanier, Colleen Miller, Ashlie Strackbein, and Ashley Wright for their thoughtful discussion and expertise during the General Session.

A special thank you to Suzanne Gore and Karen Kimsey for their informative presentation, *The Big Shift: Navigating HR 1 and Increasing Federal Oversight in Virginia*. Their session provided valuable insight into the evolving Medicaid landscape, the impact of HR 1 on Virginians receiving Medicaid services, and the increasing focus on transparency, compliance, and program integrity for providers across the Commonwealth.

Thank you to all the speakers, organizers, and attendees for your leadership, collaboration, and dedication to improving opportunities and services for Virginians with disabilities.

Last week, the individuals participating in Serenity C & C Inc.'s Community Engagement and Day Support Program enjoyed a meaningful visit to Fort Monroe, a historic treasure located right here in our community.

During our trip, we explored the rich history of one of America's earliest military installations, admired the stunning waterfront views and architecture, and gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultural stories that have shaped Virginia throughout the centuries.

Experiences like these foster learning, connection, and personal discovery—opportunities that Serenity C & C Inc. believes should be accessible to all individuals. Community engagement is about more than participation; it's about creating meaningful experiences that encourage growth, independence, and lifelong learning.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Fort Monroe and the Casemate Museum for welcoming us and providing an opportunity to engage with the fascinating history and diverse narratives of Virginia's early communities. 💚

🎉 First, we would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Ms. Keiara B., our Human Resources Specialist, who recently stepped into this role after serving as our Administrative Assistant. Keiara is a truly kind, compassionate, and dedicated professional who not only helps keep Serenity C & C Inc. compliant and organized, but also supports and encourages each member of our team as we continue to grow. Her positive attitude and commitment to excellence make a difference every single day.

🎂 We also celebrate another birthday today—Ms. Jennine T., our Assistant Executive Director of Programmatic Services! Jennine is often described as the glue that holds everything together. Whether she is at our main office, leading the growth and redevelopment of our Richmond office, supporting our ABA program in Hampton, or overseeing our Community Integration services in Newport News, Jennine is always working to strengthen our organization. Her phone is never on silent, she never hesitates to answer a call for help, and she is known for solving problems at all hours of the day and night. Her dedication to quality services and continuous improvement is truly unmatched.
