We had some very special visitors when two fire trucks from the Newport News Fire Department stopped by to give our students an up-close look at how they work.

Students got a chance to explore, learn, and meet some of the people who help keep our community safe. A big thank you to Newport News Fire Department for spending time with us!

A little lemonade can make a big difference! 🍋💛

Our Peninsula School students and staff came together for our annual Anthem LemonAid stand to support Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU—and raised $160!

We loved seeing our school community have fun while supporting an important cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stand a success!

At this year's Council of Autism Service Providers - CASP annual conference, our own Brian McCann was honored for his nine years of service on the CASP Board of Directors. During Brian’s three terms on the board, he served for four years as Board Chair. As he steps down from his service to this organization, we want to congratulate and thank him for his dedication and leadership to the field of autism services.

We are grateful to Alicia Leslie, an early literacy interventionist, for providing our teachers with tools to conduct literacy assessments and create developmentally appropriate goals and lessons! We are excited to get our learners reading!
