🚨 Save this before your next difficult conversation.

Emotional maturity isn't something you're born with — it's something you practice, one phrase at a time.

For many people with ADHD, emotional regulation is one of the hardest parts of daily life. The way we respond under stress often says more about our nervous system than our character.

Hi there!

As this year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for being part of the ADHD-Aid community. It’s been our privilege to support you throughout the year, and we’re grateful for the trust you place in us.

The holiday season can bring joy, connection, and also a little extra stress so we want to remind you that you’re not alone. If you need support, have questions, or want to check in before the year ends, we’re here for you.

A friendly reminder: our office will be closed on December 25 and January 1. If you have medication needs or want to schedule a follow-up, we encourage you to reach out ahead of these dates so we can assist you in time.

As you head into the holidays, we hope you can find small moments of rest, joy, and routine—whatever that looks like. From all of us at ADHD-Aid, we’re wishing you a peaceful season and a bright start to the new year. Cheers!

Ketamine is everywhere right now: ads, reels, glowing testimonials.
But a major new study just found something surprising: the "experience" of ketamine may be doing more of the work than the medicine itself.

This doesn’t mean it's is useless BUT it’s NOT a magic cure, and we should be careful about treatments that sound too good to be true.

At ADHD Aid, we don’t chase hype.
We focus on: treatments with real evidence, care that lasts longer than a trend, what actually helps you feel better. If you want a team that keeps it honest, we’ve got you.

October is ! As specialists dedicated to ADHD care, we're excited to share knowledge, break down stigma, and help our community thrive.

Today we're tackling one ADHD Myth: Adults don't have ADHD.
FACT: ADHD is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. While approximately 50-60% of children with ADHD continue to meet full diagnostic criteria as adults, nearly all continue to experience some symptoms that impact daily functioning.

In adults, ADHD often shows up as:
Difficulty prioritizing and completing tasks
Chronic procrastination
Time management struggles
Emotional dysregulation
Inconsistent work performance

At ADHD-Aid Psychiatry, we provide specialized adult ADHD evaluations and treatment, including medication management tailored to adult needs.

Currently accepting new patients in DC, MA, MD, FL, VA, and NV!

On , we’re highlighting how ADHD, anxiety, and depression often overlap.

At ADHD-Aid Psychiatry, we recognize that these challenges rarely exist in isolation. That’s why our evaluations and treatments look at the whole picture—how your unique symptoms interact and influence one another. Treating one condition often improves the others, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Remember: these are just common signs, not a diagnostic checklist. If you feel your struggles are starting to disrupt your daily life, reaching out to a clinician is the next step.

Together, let’s promote integrated mental healthcare. If you think this is insightful, tag someone who may benefit from this post.

Note: These graphics share only common and recognizable signs. They are not comprehensive, nor are they meant for diagnosis. For a full list of criteria, refer to the DSM-5 and consult a licensed clinician. Mental health symptoms can resemble everyday emotions—what makes them a disorder is when they become intense and begin interfering with your life. Please use this as education, not self-diagnosis.
