Compassionate Care Reaching yoU Our CCRU Clinic is partnered with the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky.

CCRU (Compassionate Care Reaching yoU) Outreach is a medical student run organization at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine-NKY that serves to provide compassionate, accessible medical care to the underserved population in Northern Kentucky.

The highlight reel continues…. Up next we have Melissa Eng, a M2, who will be one of the Research Managers this year for CCRU. She is from Loveland, OH and loves to do handstands and acrobatics!! Her favorite part about CCRU is getting to learn from the attending physicians and being a part of a supportive, collaborative environment where we can all share our passion to serve patients in need.

Starting off with our first exec member highlight of 2026-27 we have Ashley! Ashley is a M3 who will be serving as one of the CCRU co-managers. She is from Lexington, KY. A fun fact about her is that she loves to bake bread, needlepoint, and read! When asked about CCRU she said “CCRU has been formative to my pre-clinical years of medical school and has taught me so much about patient care and social determinants of health. I’m so grateful for CCRU!”

Some of our medical students were able to go to Chipotle for CCRU’s fundraiser today! There’s still time to support our fundraiser at the Chipotle at Highland Heights by showing them the flyer in our last post by 9 pm! 🌮🌯❗️
