Join us as we recognize National Recovery Month with Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s annual Purple Flag Project Ceremony & Display. 💜

Together, we’ll honor those whose lives have been impacted by substance use, remember those we have lost, and hear messages of recovery, hope, and support.

📅 Wednesday, September 9, 2026
🕛 12–1 p.m. — Ceremony, Allen Riddle Living Room
💜 1–2 p.m. — Memorial on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital front lawn

What a summer.

To our 2026 interns: thank you for your hard work, curiosity, and the energy you brought to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. It has been a pleasure watching you grow over the past six weeks, and we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you next.

This may be the end of the internship, but it’s only the beginning of what’s ahead. Wishing you nothing but success. 💙

May is Stroke Awareness Month, so take the time to educate yourself. Stroke doesn’t wait. Improve and maintain your cardiovascular health and know the signs.

Think B.E. F.A.S.T. during Stroke Awareness Month:
Balance - sudden loss of balance or coordination
Eyes - sudden trouble seeing
Face - one side drooping
Arms - arm weakness or numbness
Speech - slurred or strange speech
Time - call 911 immediately

Every second matters when it comes to stroke treatment. Share this to help spread awareness

Through reflection, education, and shared dialogue, this training is designed to both inform and support providers while fostering meaningful connections with peers.
