Earlier this summer, during Professional Development Week, we asked our interns to share where they see themselves in the future, and their answers reminded us exactly why investing in young people matters.

In collaboration with Waltham Partnership For Youth, the NWH Summer Internship Program, has provided 150+ students paid internship opportunities since it began 9 years ago. Each intern has brought their own goals, passions, and vision for what’s ahead. We’re proud to have played a small part in helping them explore those possibilities and take another step toward their future careers.

The summer may be over, but their journeys are just getting started. The future is in great hands! 💫

Help your child build the skills to navigate challenges with confidence. 💙

The Resilience Project at Newton-Wellesley Hospital is offering two 7-week virtual workshops designed to give parents and caregivers practical tools to strengthen communication, support emotional well-being, set healthy expectations, and build stronger connections at home.

👧Raising Resilient Kids: Thursdays, Oct. 1–Nov. 19, 12–1 PM
🧑 Raising Resilient Teens: Fridays, Oct. 23–Dec. 11, 12:30–1:45 PM

Cost is $160 for up to two adults per household, with scholarships and sliding-scale fees available.

Join us for A Shot at Better Health: Vaccines That Benefit Your Heart and Brain, a free virtual program presented by Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Heart Health and Wellness Council.

On Tuesday, October 27 from 6:30–7:30 PM, Mass General Brigham experts will discuss how vaccines can play an important role in cardiovascular health, healthy aging, and potentially reducing the risk of other serious health conditions.

The program will feature Camille N. Kotton, MD, with an introduction and moderation by Dr. George Philippides, followed by time for audience Q&A.

To our 2026 interns: thank you for your hard work, curiosity, and the energy you brought to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. It has been a pleasure watching you grow over the past six weeks, and we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you next.

This may be the end of the internship, but it’s only the beginning of what’s ahead. Wishing you nothing but success. 💙

May is Stroke Awareness Month, so take the time to educate yourself. Stroke doesn’t wait. Improve and maintain your cardiovascular health and know the signs.

Think B.E. F.A.S.T. during Stroke Awareness Month:
Balance - sudden loss of balance or coordination
Eyes - sudden trouble seeing
Face - one side drooping
Arms - arm weakness or numbness
Speech - slurred or strange speech
Time - call 911 immediately

Every second matters when it comes to stroke treatment. Share this to help spread awareness
