We're headed back to Falmouth! 🏃

Good Shepherd Community Care is honored to be selected once again as an official charity partner of the 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Numbers for Nonprofits Program, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

We have been awarded six charity bibs and are now recruiting runners to join Team Good Shepherd for one of New England’s most iconic summer races. By running with our team, you'll help raise critical funds to support compassionate hospice, palliative care, grief support, and education programs for our community.

✔️ Run the legendary 7-mile course
✔️ Raise a minimum of $1,500 for a meaningful cause
✔️ Make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve

Last night, we had the privilege of joining Dr. Jessica Zitter for the Boston screening of The Chaplain & The Doctor.

Directed by palliative care physician and filmmaker Dr. Zitter (Extremis, Netflix), the film captures a 15-year relationship between a doctor and a hospital chaplain. What unfolds is a powerful reflection on presence, deep listening, and care that extends beyond the clinical into the emotional and spiritual lives of patients and families.

At its core, the film shines a light on the often unseen work of chaplains—those who walk alongside individuals in moments of uncertainty, hold space in suffering, and help bring meaning, dignity, and connection to life’s most vulnerable times.

This screening is part of a broader effort by Reel Medicine Media to create space for healthcare and spiritual care communities to come together and reflect on what it truly means to care for the whole person.

If this resonates, we warmly encourage you to attend a future screening and share with colleagues, chaplains, and communities who may find meaning in this experience.
