Progress Industries Recognizes National Disability Employment Awareness Month
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a national observance recognizing the contributions of workers with disabilities and promoting workplace inclusion. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” reflects P.I.’s commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities to put their skills and talents to work, find meaningful employment, and pursue greater independence and fulfilling lives in their communities.
At P.I., that commitment is put into action through its Supported Employment program. P.I. works with individuals to identify their skills and interests, navigate the job search and interview process, learn job responsibilities, and build skills through on-the-job training and ongoing support. P.I. also partners with businesses to develop successful job matches and provide the support needed for long-term success.
This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, P.I. is recognizing three Newton businesses as Inclusive Employers. Stay tuned throughout the month as we recognize these businesses and celebrate their commitment to inclusive employment. We also extend our appreciation to all our employer partners who help build inclusive workplaces in our communities.
