Turns out… “I can’t go out, I have to study” really did pay off. 😂

The late nights.
The sacrifices.
The years of working my ass off.
The times I had to choose what I wanted later over what I wanted right now.

And now, at 47, I can honestly say I’m proud of the woman I became because of all of it.

But here’s the thing…

I’m not done.

I’m still building.
Still dreaming.
Still pushing myself.
Still figuring things out.

And maybe that’s the best part.

You don’t get to an age where you suddenly have it all figured out. You just get more confident about betting on yourself.

So if you’re in the season where nobody really sees the work you’re putting in…

Keep going.

Someday you’re going to look around and realize all those “no’s” were actually getting you closer to your “yes.” ✨

In honor of Gloria Steinem.

“I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine marriage and career.”

This one hits differently for me now.

I’ve spent years trying to be a mom, a wife, a physician, a business owner—and somehow make it all work.

Now, as a single woman, I’m realizing something:

I don’t need to choose. And I don’t need a partner to make my life feel complete.

I can raise my girls, build my career, chase big dreams, be independent, fall in love if I choose—and still be completely whole on my own.

Maybe the goal was never to figure out how to balance it all perfectly. After all, have you ever heard the term “working Dad”!?

Maybe it’s simply to build a life that feels like mine. 🤍
