As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to leave space for a message that matters: recovery is possible.

Recovery doesn’t always look like a straight line. It can mean rebuilding, reaching out, resting, learning new ways to cope, finding support, or simply making it through one more day. It can be quiet. It can be nonlinear. And it is still real.

If you’re struggling right now, please know that your story is not over, and help is available. There are people, services, and communities ready to support you.

For anyone reading this and holding onto hope: thank you for staying. Healing is possible. Support is possible. Recovery is possible.

💚 You are not alone. If you need support or assistance, please utilize the numbers listed in the graphic.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. On this Memorial Day, we remember the fallen not only for their courage, but for the love they carried for their families, friends, and Country. 🇺🇸

We also hold close the hearts of the spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who continue to carry both pride and grief. Your strength, resilience, and memories matter deeply.

As we honor their legacy, may we also care for one another with compassion:
✨ Check in on loved ones
✨ Allow space for grief and healing
✨ Practice self-care without guilt
✨ Share stories and memories
✨ Be fully present with the people around you

Sometimes the greatest act of remembrance is simply showing up with kindness, listening, and love.

Today and every day, we remember. ❤️🤍💙

This week's theme for Mental Health Awareness Month is words matter and words can heal. Some battles are invisible.
And sometimes, the smallest words make the biggest difference.

“I’m here.”
“You matter.”
“You don’t have to carry this alone.”
“I’m glad you’re here.”

Words can stay with someone long after the conversation ends.
They can wound but they can also heal.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s choose language that brings comfort, hope, understanding, and compassion. Not just online. Not just today. Every day.

You never know who might need to hear something kind.

💚 Speak gently to others.
💚 Speak gently to yourself.
💚 Your words have power.

Week 2 of Mental Health Awareness Month recognizes that early support matters- recognizing signs in Children and Youth. Parents and caregivers are often the first to notice when something feels different. Changes in mood, sleep, appetite or behavior may signal a young person needs support. https://www.samhsa.gov/find-support/helping-someone/helping-your-child

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who give so much of themselves through love, caregiving, support, and emotional strength every day. 🌷

In individual and family therapy, we often explore the many roles mothers carry within family dynamics, nurturing connection, providing stability, and supporting others while often placing their own needs last. Motherhood can be deeply meaningful, but it can also bring stress, burnout, guilt, and emotional exhaustion.

Today is a reminder that self-care is essential, not selfish. 💛

Rest, relaxation, boundaries, movement, nourishing your body, asking for support, and spending time in nature can help restore emotional balance and regulate the nervous system. Whether it’s a quiet walk outside, deep breathing, journaling, prayer, music, or simply slowing down, give yourself permission to recharge today. 🌿

To every mother, caregiver, bonus mom, and woman navigating complex family dynamics: your well-being matters too.

You deserve rest.
You deserve care.
You deserve peace. 🌸

Today marks the start of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week- May 3-9 💚

As caregivers and parents, you play a powerful role in shaping a child’s emotional well-being. Supporting youth mental health doesn’t require perfection, it starts with small, consistent actions:

✨ Create a safe space for open conversations.

Let kids know their feelings matter and they can talk without fear of judgment.

✨ Practice active listening
Sometimes the most important thing you can say is, “I’m here for you.”

✨ Model healthy coping skills
Show how you manage stress, emotions, and challenges in everyday life.

✨ Maintain routines
Consistency helps children feel secure, especially during uncertain times.

✨ Watch for changes
Shifts in mood, behavior, sleep, or appetite can be signs a child needs extra support.

✨ Don’t hesitate to seek help
Reaching out to a counselor, therapist, or school support is a sign of strength, not failure.

Let’s work together to raise emotionally healthy, resilient kids. See more tips below!💚
