⚠️ IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE — BAYWIND MEDICAL WILL BE CLOSED FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 ⚠️

Due to concerns about the incoming weather and the safety of our staff, Baywind Medical will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, October 9.

Our emergency line will remain available to our patients by calling 850-729-2559 and following the prompts. Please understand that during severe weather, phone service may be disrupted, and our technicians may not be able to safely travel to your location. We will do everything we can to assist our patients, but conditions may limit our ability to respond.

If you are in an evacuation zone, please take evacuation orders seriously and make plans to move to a safer location. If you or someone in your household has special medical needs, special needs shelters are available. Did you know that CGM's are now a DME (Durable Medical Equipment) benefit under Medicare Part B? Which means that if you are currently getting your CGM's from a pharmacy, you may be overpaying!

Let's take a minute to talk about the underrated bedside commode. While not super glamorous, it is a very useful piece of equipment to keep in the home.

It can not only be used as described (beside the bed), but it also serves as a toilet seat riser with hand rails. And does not require any installation! And when not in use, it can be folded up and stored away until needed again.

The 3-in-1 bedside commode is perfect for a patient recovering from an injury or surgery that may need a little extra height over the toilet. But it is also handy to keep around for those times when the stomach bug hits your family.
