Even though we're skipping the 2026 harvest, I wanted to show you all what harvesting Rhodiola rosea looks like!

Last year, we took 18 days to harvest our ~1 acre field (mostly by hand). Keep an eye out on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays to see what each harvest day holds! I'm pausing the W**d Wednesdays for now. 😅 Enjoy!

Brittlestem Hempnettle on a late W**d Wednesday!

First of all, the name is deceiving as Hempnettle is not a true nettle--instead, it's part of the mint family. Sadly, it's one of the few w**ds on our farm that isn't very useful. Alaska's DNR (Dept of Natural Resources) considers it a noxious & invasive w**d.

In researching it, there are a few people who use it for different things but I'm not even going to mention those due to the same amount of people that say it's toxic! All in all, do your own research, and be careful when pulling it up--those hairy stems are stabby!
